What is Solvent Red 196?
Fluorescent red powder. Insoluble in water. It has good light fastness and excellent heat resistance stability up to 300℃.
It uses 4-diethylaminosalicylicaldehyde, 2-cyanomethylbenzimidazole, and methyl cyanoacetate as raw materials. First, 4-diethylaminosalicylicaldehyde and 2-cyanomethylbenzimidazole are condensed in DMF solvent, and then reacted with methyl cyanoacetate to obtain the product. After post-processing and drying, the finished product is obtained. Or the product can be obtained by refluxing C.I. SolventRed197 and hydrochloric acid. or (C.I.solventned197). Add 19711.4g of C.I. solvent red and 200mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid to the reaction bottle, reflux at 100-103°C for 2.5h, and measure the reaction end point. At the end of the reaction, add 500g of ice, neutralize with 50% NaOH solution to pH=7.5, filter, wash with water, and dry to obtain red dye.
Solvent Red 196 Uses
Fluorescent red BK is used for coloring polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, and polycarbonate plastics. Suitable for light transparent shades.
